Starcraft: Brood War | The Most Classic Real-time Strategy Game Beloved Forever
Startcraft: Brood War, having been popular over 10 years with its free Battle.net, is a critically developed expansion pack of the military science fiction real-time strategy video game miracle Starcraft released in 1998 and it has been widely regarded as one of the greatest masterpieces of Blizzard Entertainment. And many of its players, especially in Korea, have become really professional gamers for it. Like most of its players, I can’t forget my insanely surprise at my first trial on it. As too many words have been spread around about it by others, here I’m just summarizing what it most impressed me as my earnest memory for this “more than awesome” PC game before greeting the can’t-waited Starcraft 2.

Here the “remake” means it not only includes most of elements and the system of X-COM: UFO Defense such as semi turn-based team combats with war fog, research & manufacturing, recruitment & equipment and etc, but has much improvement in system, graphics, research projects and etc as well. You shouldn’t miss this remade classic PC game if you are a strategy game fan.

Daikoukai Jidai (大航海時代 in Japanese), also known as Uncharted Waters, developed by the famous company KOEI in Japan, is my favorite series of voyage RPG games. It refers to the Great Voyages period between the 15th century and the 17th century. In the game, you are a captain who can do any business about shipping trades, pirates, wars and explore new civilization and wonders in the earth. You’ve missed a lot of pleasure if you haven’t played these very classic RPG games, especially Daikoukai Jidai II and Daikoukai Jidai IV: Porto Estado.
